It would be difficult to name an organisation that will not be affected by the requirement to
introduce ISO 9001 2000.
Virtually every manufacturing and service company should be aware of the ISO 9001 2000 standard that
will affect the companies they sell to, their suppliers and their internal quality practices.
Any organisation that is regulated can expect to have to conform to ISO 9001 2000 standards within the
near future. The EEC (European Economic Community) is continuing to identify certain sectors of
manufactured goods that will be regulated to conform to ISO 9001 2000.
